What is Consumer Data Right?

Using the Consumer Data Right to help manage your personal, business finances, or energy usage is secure, quick and easy. If you choose to use the Consumer Data Right, your data is safely shared between the data holder (such as your bank) and the CDR-enabled business. The system is regulated by the Australian Government.
How it works

CDR-enabled businesses

You can only allow data recipients accredited by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to directly access data about you held by your bank or other provider. You can then give an accredited data recipient permission to share your data with other CDR-enabled businesses, including a trusted adviser such as an accountant or mortgage broker.
