Dear <<First Name>>,
Welcome to our latest edition of the Consumer Data Right (CDR) newsletter.
Data access model for energy consultation now open
The ACCC has published a paper seeking views on options for a data access model for energy data. Stakeholder feedback will help us decide on how best to apply the CDR in the energy sector.
We will be working on the details for accessing consumer energy data in parallel to the implementation of CDR in the banking sector with a view to energy data being available in the first half of 2020. Determining the preferred data access model is an important first step in developing a forward work plan to achieve this goal. We will continue to update you at: Consumer Data Right Energy.
Lodge a written submission
We’re inviting interested stakeholders to lodge written submissions in response to the specific questions set out in the paper. Submissions will be accepted until 5pm Friday 22 March 2019 on our online consultation hub or by emailing:
accc-cdr@accc.gov.au.
To foster an informed and consultative process, all submissions will be considered as public submissions and will be posted on the ACCC website. If you wish to submit commercial-in-confidence material, you should submit both a public version and a commercial-in-confidence version of your submission.
Consultation forum
We intend to hold a forum before the consultation period closes, and will confirm a date and location shortly. Once confirmed, we’ll update our Consumer Data Rightinformation with details of how to register.
Kind regards,
Consumer Data Right Branch
