Dear <<First Name>>,

Thank you for your interest in the consumer data right (CDR). Here are some recent developments:

Update on the Rules Framework consultation

Consultation on the Rules Framework has now closed. We received 55 written submissions, as well as extensive feedback via the stakeholder roundtables in Melbourne, Sydney and online (via webinar). The written submissions are now available on the CDR webpage. The webinar is also available on YouTube for anyone who missed the session.

Accreditation

We have concluded the first stage of our procurement process for the development of an accreditation system. The system will manage applications for accreditation and secure identification of accredited data recipients. We anticipate engaging a supplier in time to ensure the system will be available to accept applications prior to the commencement of the CDR. More information will be provided in future updates.

Energy

We received feedback from a number of energy sector participants on the Rules Framework. While our current focus is on the development of the CDR Rules as they will apply to the banking sector, we have commenced working on issues that will arise when the CDR is extended to energy sector data. Consultation on these issues is expected to be scheduled early in 2019. Updates will be provided at: Consumer Data Right.

Kind regards,
